Old and wise they say when you fall down
Words they write about you are supposed to be kind
Now it’s time to find out what it all means
Time is running out, memories remain
Life is gone, love is your only gain
It’s time to tell the world all that is
All that’s right, all that’s wrong eh….
All that’s wrong eh…
All that’s right, all that’s wrong
All that’s right
All that seems to belong to the real truth
Even through to the shallows
I’ve got the right to live the way I want
Even if it doesn’t fit your little good world
Don’t tell me what’s wrong or what’s right
I’m a grown-up, no more a little child
I keep my secrets, even my dark side
Away from your fake light and understanding
No more need of these friends or fellows
Who can’t cope with my own shallows
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
Void King do the doomy stoner rock thing really well. With an EP, a split single, and now three albums under their belt, they’ve begun to explore the depths of their sound even more. Instruments are tight, vocals sound great, and things get a little bluesy on “Brother Tried.” If you like your stoner rock slow and heavy, don’t pass this one up. Kirk Gauthier
